If you do not engage in heavy weight lifting in the gym, then you should device a mild lifting exercise every day. This may be a hard cover book, a carton of properties in your home or any two pound weight at home. Just lift something every day, as it enhances the workings of your heart.
You should also look at your diet. This will entail adding of fruits and vegetables as part of your menu. In fact, they should occupy the bigger part here. Things like whole grains, herbs and spices, good protein, and unsaturated fat should take the upper hand.
To keep your heart healthy, you need to floss regularly. Of course, many people will wonder what the teeth have to do with the heart. We have said that the heart connects the entire body, to the extent that whatever happens to it, affects the other parts. This goes both ways. So, you should floss and keep your teeth clean to avoid gum diseases, because they pose health risks to the heart too.
Relaxation and meditation are also essential here. That we said above that the heart needs exercising does not mean that you have to overwork yourself. Stress itself is also dangerous to the heart. So, you need to relax, meditate and ease off the pressure of everyday life once in a while.
You should also get enough sleep. Often times, people boast of working deep into the nights as a habit. In fact, we have taken it as one of attributes of billionaires. They boast of working round the clock and sleeping for only 3-4 hours every day. That is wrong, and they are killing their hearts. When sleeps are disrupted, they put your heart at risk. Make sure you give you heart about 7 to 8 hours of sleep on a daily basis. Improve your sleep by adjusting your routine, because you need it.
Of course, the value of exercising cannot be overemphasized. It is actually the most favorable thing to your heart. When you exercise, your heart is put at work, and when it does, it remains healthy. Engage in at least 30 minutes of exercise every day.
